The Audio-Technica AT8010 Condenser Microphone is a handheld or stand mount condenser microphone tailored for speech. Use the on-board switchable high-pass filter to roll off the low end and minimize sonic rumble.
The mic's omnidirectional polar pattern ensures an even response around the capsule and captures ambience naturally, which is a boon for you-are-there radio pieces. The rugged housing, complete with a steel grille, is designed for use in demand locals. Internal shock mounting minimizes handling and cable noise, so a broadcast host can share the mic with a guest. The mic can operate on either phantom power supplied through the XLR connection or a single AA battery. A mic clip, threaded adapter, battery, and soft protective case are included, as is a windscreen.
