The MagStor LTO8 12TB Thunderbolt 3 Tape Drive LTO-8 with Quantum LTFS for MAC is an LTO8 external tape drive with an integrated 3.5" drive bay. Built with dual 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports, it has been certified by Apple and Intel for use with Windows 10 and macOS 10.12 or higher computers. It supports the LTFS (Linear Tape File System), so users can easily drag and drop files to and from the LTO8 tape drive.
This drive connects to your host Windows 10 or macOS 10.12+ system using Thunderbolt 3 and supports LTO8 media with a native capacity of 12TB at read/write speeds up to 300 MB/s. It is backward compatible with LTO7 media with a native capacity of 6TB and read/write speeds up to 300 MB/s.
